Last month was breast cancer awareness month with residents & staff at our
nursing home in Wimborne fully embracing Wear it Pink day. The home was awash with every shade of pink - vibrant t-shirts, jackets, trousers and wigs aplenty. Some members of the team even displayed their extraordinary commitment by dying their hair pink! The additional colour definitely brightened up everybody’s day and made for a cheerful atmosphere throughout.
Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in the UK and as a result many people, including some of our residents and staff, have been affected either directly or indirectly.
Breast Cancer Now is an incredibly worthwhile cause and everybody was more than happy to get involved. Through the efforts of everybody who participated
Forest Hill House Nursing Home, our
gold standard nursing home in Dorset, managed to raise an incredible
£322.70 towards breast cancer research and support for those affected. A huge
well done from all of us here at
Royal Bay Care homes!
